Driver Policy

Thank you for considering US Courier Service (USCS) as a potential partner and client. We value our drivers as essential members of our team and strive to provide a safe and rewarding work environment for all. To become eligible as a 1099 Independent Contractor Courier for USCS, the following requirements must be met:

  1. Age Requirement: You must be 18 years of age or older.

  2. Vehicle Requirements: You must have a reliable and well-maintained vehicle that meets the following requirements:

    • Model year 2007 or newer (for cars)

    • Model year 2003 or newer (for motorcycles)

    • Model year 2000 or newer (for cargo vans and trucks)

  3. Driver's License: You must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.

  4. Insurance: You must have valid insurance for the vehicle you will be using for deliveries.

  5. Background Check: You must pass a background check, including a criminal history check and a driving record check.

  6. Smartphone: You must have a smartphone that is compatible with our delivery app.

  7. Availability: You must be available to work during our peak delivery hours, including nights and weekends.

  8. Professionalism: You must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing USCS and adhere to our code of conduct.

  9. Vehicle Maintenance: Your vehicle must be well-maintained and kept in good working order. This includes regular oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance.

  10. Vehicle Appearance: Your vehicle must be clean and presentable at all times, both inside and out. Any signage or branding must be in good condition and properly displayed.

  11. Communication: You must maintain open and timely communication with our dispatch team to ensure efficient and effective delivery services.

  12. Timeliness: You must arrive at pickup and delivery locations promptly and make all deliveries within the designated time frames.

  13. Safety: You must operate your vehicle safely and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations. You must also follow our safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate safety gear and handling packages with care.

  14. Dependability: You must be reliable and dependable, showing up on time and completing deliveries as scheduled.

  15. Customer Service: You must provide exceptional customer service, including being courteous and respectful to clients and their customers.

 

We take driver eligibility seriously and continuously monitor our drivers' compliance with these requirements to ensure the safety of our team members, clients, and the general public. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in immediate termination of your contract with USCS.
